Our January 2–5 Winter Camp brought together top national-team coaches and some of the best 3x3 players in the world for four intense days of work. Every session was designed and led by 3x3 Academy founder Jard Schuit, with guest pros teaching the exact details that win games at World Tour and Olympic level.
Day 1 – Scoring & Shooting
Day 1 was all about putting the ball in the basket. Players worked on creating their own shot, scoring out of advantages and shooting under real 3x3 pressure, with constant reps and clear feedback.
Featured coaches:
Worthy de Jong – breaking down how elite scorers create space, absorb contact and finish plays.
Arvin Slagter – sharing the shooting details, footwork and habits behind a knockdown jumper.
Bas Rozendaal – adding game-speed finishing, spacing and timing within 3x3 actions.
Day 2 – Defense & Perfect Screens
Day 2 flipped the script to defense and screening. Players learned how to become impact defenders and how to set (and use) great screens that actually free teammates instead of just “going through the motions”.
Featured coaches:
Julian Jaring – teaching the art of physical, smart screening and how to punish defenses with it.
Jan Driessen – showing how high-level defenders change games with positioning, effort and discipline.
Lenno Witteveen & Jacopo Bertotti – guiding small groups through live coverages, closeouts and screen reads.
Day 3 – Post ups & 1v1 Game
Day 3 focused on winning your matchup. Players worked on posting up, sealing, attacking mismatches and finishing 1v1 in the tight spaces that 3x3 creates.
Featured coach:
Dimeo Van Der Horst – a veteran of the 3x3 game, breaking down how to dominate from the post and punish switches.
Day 4 – Game application & Wrap up
On Day 4, we tied everything together: decision-making, spacing, defense and scoring. Players competed in controlled games, applied what they’d learned and received final adjustments from the staff.
Featured coaches:
Worthy de Jong & Maarten Bouwknecht – applying scoring, pick-and-roll and playmaking concepts in live games.
Jacopo Bertotti & Yulian Ramirez Montero – running small-sided games, matchups and situational work.
Aleksandr Kaiukov – leading mobility, core strength and basketball-specific athletic work to support what happens on the court.
Jard Schuit – overseeing the whole day, connecting all four days into a clear roadmap for players going forward.
